Location: UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital Main Hosp, US:CO:Fort Collins
Department: SYS Regional Lab Director
FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $36.19 - $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Ensures laboratory operations and staff with compliance with regulatory requirements and the laboratory's quality management system. Superior knowledge of Blood Bank and Transfusion Service practices and FDA, AABB and CAP and CLIA standards/regulations
Responsibilities:
Develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring quality lab practices and compliance with regulatory agencies.
Represents lab during regulatory/accreditation reviews and inspections. Assembles and maintains documentation for inspectors.
Audits processes and reports to ensure compliance. Prepares summaries with action plans to correct deficiencies.
Serves as a consultant to lab staff and other personnel involved in quality and compliance issues.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in related field and graduate of an accredited MT or MLS program.
Required Licensure/Certification: Specialist ASCP certification in Blood Bank (SBB).
Minimum Experience: 4 years related experience.
