FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $43.25 - $69.19 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the department or assigned function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Oversee security posture for offsite locations and FSED's.
Responsibilities:
Manages system strategy for Security Services that supports the organizational objectives and needs of the employee population.
Manages and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Manages crisis operations. Collects and reports out on data pertinent to measuring the success of the security operations for their locations, including offsites.
Monitors contracted staffing levels, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and competency task initiatives. Designs new hospital system security training programs. Reports out security data and initiatives in EOC and SMG meetings.
Assists in the preparation, monitoring, and evaluating departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Manages internal/external audits. Assists in planning and execution of security functions for campus and off campus locations.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
Essential:
Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator
Certified Protection Professional
Minimum Required Education: High School Education. Preferred: Associate degree.
Required Education/Licensure: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) or Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) through International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) or Associate Protection Professional (APP) through (ASIS) within 1 year of hire
Minimum Experience: 5 years of progressive leadership experience. Preferred: Healthcare experience.
IF APPLICABLE:BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
